Normative Ethics
This deals with “oughts”, what one ought or ought not to do (properly called normative statements). The idea of good and bad (or perhaps right or wrong) is baked into normative statements. Let’s say you ought to help someone, then it would be good to do so. On the flipside, it would also be wrong not to do so (in this isolated context).
